The words of the song hum through my head.
Our beloved car became uneconomical to repair a couple of 6 weeks back. Now not having learnt to drive and being ‘fine’ with public transportation (such as it is). It’s not really affected me, our village is blessed with two corner shops, a butcher and a pharmacy. And internet shopping is blissful as I don’t have to haul it up the 8 steep steps to the cottage. But it did cut hubby off from socialising. So a ‘new to us’ car was found.
This week I have counted blessings as some of the old familiar routines come back.
Today saw me sourcing fabrics in a charity warehouse. I had missed the rummaging in boxes and the joy of the find.
